Fantasies Guardian

Fantasies Gaurdian 33 X 26 $1800.00 Original-No copies available

I completed Fantasies Guardian in August of 1994.
As children, our world is full of wonder...we believe that anything is possible. Our minds are rich with imagination. It is unfortunate that as we grow older most of us adopt the belief that only what you can see is real... there is nothing beyond. This non-belief closes the doorway to a realm that does exsist, so it fades away and dies and we wonder why we have become so bored with our lives.
I put myself in this pencil drawing because I believe that there is so much more to our world then what meets the eye. Like a guardian I keep the doorway open so that this world will continue to exist.
As we go through our lives I think that it is very important to believe that anything is possible. We shouldn't allow ourselves to become jaded by the society that we have created. This will keep the child alive that is in all of us!

The untitled pencil drawing on the right is no longer available.
On the afternoon of July 4, 2003 this drawing was STOLEN from Park Studio Gallery, Creston B.C.
If you see this drawing in someone's possession, know that it is a stolen item.

Acrylic Paint, Pencil 5 x 12

For these two small untitled drawings I thought that it would be fun to try something new. So I combine the brilliant colors of acrylic paint (using my Mosaic Art technique) with my favorite medium, pencil. To create a unigue effect I used a heavy weight highly textured paper. I was very pleased with the end result and plan to mix these two mediums in future projects

Karma

Acrylic Paint, Pencil 5 x 12 $180.00

I created "Karma" in memory of the drawing that was stolen from me at Park Studio Gallery.

I don't think that I will ever understand why someone would feel compelled to take something that doesn't belong to them. I put so much of myself in each piece they are an extention of who I am so, I can't help but find their actions disrespectful and insulting.

I have always believed in the idea that every action has an equal and opposite reaction that is why I named this drawing "Karma"

For me creating this drawing was a form of spiritual healing. The one thing that I do know is that they may have taken my drawing but they did not take away my ability to draw. To express myself through my art brings me so much pleasure and that is where the true power lies. So, I will move forward, indulge my imagination and continue to create and share it with all of you!

Personal Kingdom

In 1995, while I was living in Idaho I completed "Personal Kingdom". For many years I have Personal Kingdom - Pencil 14 x 23 $750.00 Original-No copies available collected pictures of famous castles from all over the world. They are the inspiration behind this three in one pencil and pencil crayon drawing.
For me these architectural masterpieces are a feast for the imagination representing pride, power, romance, mystery and danger. To walk their ancient and echoing halls would be like taking a trip back in time.
