The Carousel

I think that most of us have been on a carousol at least once in our lives. If you haven't been on one you must try it no matter what your age is. Really there is something truly magical about them especiall when you go on them at night.

Night time is my favorite time of day!

I created The Carousol in hopes of capturing some of the carnival magic!

The Mausoleum

I love graveyards and anything Gothic so I created The Mausoleum. It is actually still a work in progress. My husband David will be adding a faux wrought iron fence in the front of the painting but I thought I would share it with you even though it is unfinished. This painting can be hung on the wall of stand on its onw.

Lakota Dreams

I wanted to escape the cat theme for this painting so I created Lakota Dream.. She was a great deal of fun to create and I love the colors in this painting. Being the Krazy Kat Lady I just love to paint cats. Being both German and Lakota it is nice to turn to my culture from time to time as a form of artistic expression.

Midnight

Midnight is a fun little project that David and I worked on together. I painted the canvas and David added the painted metal flowers.

Sun Moon

The sixties styled sun/moon motif has one again become very popular. To give this piece a rich look I used metallic paint on both the painting and the frame. For that mystical touch I put astrological and ruin symbols around the boarder. This painting was created by dabbing paint on the canvas board with an embossing tool.

Acrylic Paint & Beadwork

To create the images on both of these paintings I used an embossing tool to dab the paint on giving them a faux beadwork effect. Then I finished them with beaded fringes. It amazed me just how many people would touch the paintings thinking that they were actually beadwork.
